WhatsApp has a 65,536-character limit per message, but for a pre-filled QR code message, keep it very short: one or two sentences. Longer text makes the QR pattern denser and reduces scan reliability. A pre-filled message is meant to be a prompt, not a wall of text.

This usually means the phone number in the wa.me link is formatted wrong, most often a stray plus sign, space, or dash left in (the format should be digits only, like https://wa.me/14155551234), or the country code was left out entirely. Regenerate the code with the number as plain digits and no other characters.
