Encode plain text in a QR code
Share WiFi network credentials instantly
Share contact information digitally
Pre-fill an email with address, subject, and body
Dial a phone number with one scan
Pre-fill an SMS message

Share a geographic location on a map
Link to a Facebook page or profile
Link to a YouTube video or channel
Link to a Spotify track, playlist, or artist
A QR code (Quick Response code) is a two-dimensional barcode that can be scanned by a smartphone camera to instantly open a URL, share contact info, connect to WiFi, and much more. Think of it as a clickable link for the physical world.
Yes, completely. Static QR codes (URL, text, WiFi, vCard, and more) are free to generate and download forever, with no watermarks, no expiry, and no credit card required. Dynamic QR codes with scan tracking require a free account.
Absolutely. You can use any QR code you generate here on business cards, product packaging, marketing materials, menus, signage, anything. There are no usage restrictions.
Static QR codes never expire. They encode the data directly, so they'll work forever. Dynamic QR codes (which redirect through our servers so you can change the destination later) are active as long as your account is.
A dynamic QR code redirects through a short URL, so you can update where it points even after you've already printed it. You also get scan analytics (total scans, by date, by device). These require a free account.
Create a free account and save your QR as a dynamic code. Your dashboard will show scan counts, dates, and device breakdown. Static codes don't have tracking by design, because there's no server in the middle.
Three things. First, no watermark, ever, on any QR code you download here, including on the free tier. Second, no signup wall in front of the download button. And third, static QR codes are generated entirely in your browser, so the data you encode (a URL, a WiFi password, contact details) never touches our servers. Most free QR sites lock at least one of those behind a paywall or ask for an email before they let you download.
There isn't one. Static QR codes are cheap for us to serve: no server processing, no analytics logging, no per-code cost. We fund the site by charging for the extras that do cost us money, like dynamic QR codes (redirect servers, scan tracking, storage) and higher-volume plans. Free users get unlimited static QR codes forever, and paid features are opt-in.
No. Static QR codes are generated locally in your browser using client-side JavaScript. The URL, WiFi password, contact info, or whatever you encode never leaves your device. You can verify this by opening your browser's Network tab while generating a code and watching for outbound requests. There are none. Only dynamic QR codes (which require an account) route through our servers, and only so we can redirect them and count scans.
