Terms of Use
Last updated: September 12, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These terms of use are an agreement between you and QRCodePrime. By using qrcodeprime.com, the QR code generator, the scanner, or an account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use QRCodePrime on behalf of a business, you confirm that you can bind that business to these terms.
2. What QRCodePrime is
QRCodePrime is a QR code generator. Static QR codes are generated entirely in your browser and contain the data you enter. Dynamic QR codes contain a short link on our domain that redirects to a destination you can change from your dashboard, and we record scan analytics for them. The scanner reads codes in your browser.
3. The free plan, stated plainly
Static QR codes are unlimited and free, with no account, no watermark, and no expiry.
Every free account includes 10 dynamic QR codes, free for life, with scan analytics. No credit card is required to open an account or to keep it. No watermark is placed on any code, static or dynamic. We do not place ads on the site and we do not place ads or interstitial pages on the redirect that a dynamic code sends people through. A dynamic code keeps redirecting for as long as your account exists, and you can change its destination at any time.
If we ever add a paid option for teams or high volume, it will sit on top of this free plan. The 10 free dynamic codes stay free and stay yours. We will not move them behind a paywall.
4. Accounts
- You need an account only for dynamic codes and for saving codes to a dashboard.
- Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Give us a working email address so we can reach you about your account or your codes.
- You must be at least 16 years old to open an account.
- You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard. Deleting it permanently disables your dynamic codes, because their redirect links are tied to the account.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use QRCodePrime to:
- point a code at illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's rights
- distribute malware, phishing pages, scams, or deceptive redirects
- impersonate a person, business, or government body
- send unsolicited bulk messages or run spam campaigns
- collect personal data without the consent the law requires
- scrape, overload, or interfere with the service, or bypass its limits
We may disable a code, a redirect, or an account that breaks these rules, and we may report illegal activity to the authorities.
6. Your content and your codes
You own the data you put into your codes and the destinations you point them at. The QR code images you download are yours to use for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial, with no license fee and no attribution required.
For dynamic codes, you give us permission to host the redirect link and to record scan events (time, approximate location from the IP address, device type) so we can show you analytics. Static codes send nothing to our servers.
7. How redirects work
When someone scans a dynamic code, our server receives the request, records the scan, and forwards the person to your destination. We do not show ads, sponsored pages, or interstitials on that redirect. The only time we show a page instead of your destination is when a link has been reported and confirmed as phishing or malware, in which case we show a warning and disable the code. We are not responsible for the content of destinations you choose.
8. Availability
We work to keep the site and the redirect service available around the clock, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, outages at our hosting providers, and events outside our control can cause downtime. If we ever decide to shut the service down, we will give account holders at least 90 days notice by email so they can move their codes.
9. Termination
You can stop using QRCodePrime at any time. We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms or that is used to harm the service or other people. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
QRCodePrime is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. You are responsible for testing a code before you print or distribute it.
To the fullest extent the law allows, QRCodePrime and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to one hundred US dollars.
11. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change reduces what the free plan includes or materially affects your rights, we will email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when the terms last changed.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which QRCodePrime is operated. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of that state.
