About QRCodePrime

We are a small independent team, and we build QRCodePrime. It started, like most useful things, out of frustration.

We needed a QR code for a menu we were redesigning. Simple enough. But every tool we tried either slapped a watermark on the free version, demanded an account before showing anything, or made the QR code feel like bait for an email sequence selling something else. One tool required a credit card for something needed in the next five minutes. We gave up and used a worse tool.

That stuck with us. QR codes are a solved problem. The technology is decades old, the specs are public, and generating one costs almost nothing. So why is the experience so extractive? We decided to build something different: a generator that works instantly, gives you the full-quality file with no strings attached, and does not treat you as a lead to be nurtured. QRCodePrime launched in June 2026.

The promises

• Static QR codes will always be free, with no watermarks, forever. Not for a starter period, not until some limit is reached. Always.
• You will never need to sign up just to download a QR code. Open the page, generate it, download it, leave. No account, no email, nothing.
• Your data stays yours. No selling, no third-party ad trackers, no nonsense. The analytics on dynamic QR codes exist to help you, not to build a profile on whoever scans them.
• Generating and downloading a static QR code in the browser does not send its contents to us. Saving a code to your account or using bulk generation sends its content and design settings to our servers for storage.

How this is funded

Honest answer: it is not funded by anyone but us yet. We pay for it ourselves while we build it. Everything most people need is free and will stay free: unlimited static QR codes, 10 dynamic QR codes per account free for life with scan analytics, no scan limits, full customization. No credit card, no watermarks, and no ads on the site or on the redirect a dynamic code passes through.

Paid options for teams and high-volume use are in the works, for agencies generating hundreds of codes or brands needing deeper scan analytics. An API, custom short domains, team seats and white label are in development and will come to QRCodePrime. Logo customization is already included for free. There is no paid option today, and the 10 free dynamic codes stay free for life whatever we add.
