Static QR codes never touch our servers
When you generate a URL, WiFi, vCard, or any static QR code on QRCodePrime, it is built entirely in your browser using JavaScript. We do not see the content. We do not store it. We cannot recover it. This is by design.
Dynamic QR codes (which redirect through our server so you can change the destination later) do require us to store the destination URL. We are transparent about exactly what gets stored and when.
1. Information We Collect
Without an account: We do not collect any personal information. QR codes are generated entirely in your browser. No data is sent to our servers.
With an account: We collect your email address for authentication. When you sign up we also record your approximate location (country and city, from your IP address), the page you first landed on and the site that referred you, so we can see where our users come from. We store QR codes you save to your dashboard. For dynamic QR codes, we log scan events (timestamp, approximate location from IP, device type).
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to provide the QRCodePrime service: storing your QR codes, providing scan analytics, and maintaining your account.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
4. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS). We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information.
5. Your Rights
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard settings. You can also request a copy of your data by contacting us.
